How It Plays

How a Turn Unfolds

I
DRAW

One objective card, one action card. Hold three objectives and two actions at most — nothing is played until your hand is set. Skipped on turn one.

II
GATHER

Lift each peasant off its settlement and take what that settlement yields. Coins come from every settlement you own or occupy, peasant or not.

III
CRAFT

Spend resources and coin on soldiers, settlements and ammo. A Tier 1 soldier costs a peasant too — the same peasants that work your land.

IV
CONQUER

Deploy beside your settlements, roll the movement die, strike. Attack and defense dice settle it; ties go to the defender, who may counter-attack. Claim any objective you finished this turn.

V
PLACE

Peasants go back out — you can never leave a settlement empty while holding one. That ends your turn, and sets next turn's harvest.

Steps III and IV are optional, and you may work them in any order. Finishing your last objective triggers the final round — it doesn't win the game. The most objective points does.
