This game can be as short or as long as you want. It literally can be played multiple ways. My friends have all enjoyed this game since day one. Can't recommend this game enough!
Love the quality and versatility of this game! The board setup, factions, and even settlement placements all changing every game, makes for a totally new scenario that will lend a lot of replayability. I like that progress comparison is difficult in this game. not knowing what the other player has for objectives and options keeps things interesting the whole game. Especially helps players with less board game experience to not feel too far behind. All in all great game, rules, pieces, setup all works well together. Only thing I have found is getting people up to speed on the rules can be difficult. I would just recommend people just starting to play use basic setup and rules, diving into the game, and then teaching/learning additional rules as you go along.

My kids and I have enjoyed playing this game over Christmas break. They have so much fun setting up the different worlds we can play in, and counting out their resources and moving the soldiers around. Excellent game for family play, although certainly not a quick game. It has become a favorite in our house, thanks for sharing your game with the world!
KS backer, deluxe edition. Solid 4x. My game group had a blast. At first we thought the limited amount of objectives and action cards would be a bummer, but turned out to be a nice balance. Might adjust house rules by taking out some objectives to avoid turtling down and not playing an active fighting game.
Finally. Got to play this game after receiving it. Everything feels very high quality. As far as gameplay goes, my whole group enjoyed it quite a bit and can see the replay value. For some feedback, the color of the 6 player extra pieces need to be adjusted. They are very similar to the base game yellow and green, being orange and teal. This can be hard for some people to see. The storage in the box could be better, and the printed colors on the cards can sometimes be hard to see. Those are just design choices, but should still be considered. Otherwise, the tiles are plenty to allow a large enough space to make the game quite interesting. Overall, very happy with the game and I'm excited for future gameplay. I will be working to find a better way to organize it however.

Had fun playing this today after a long wait for it to arrive! My daughter and I set it up and it was easy to jump right in (after having read the rules). Right off I can see a lot of replay-ability in it as you can have more players, rearrange the board, choose a different number of objectives.
Got the game the other day, and have played it twice already. Very easy to setup, learn and play! We're sharing the company website and the Thanksgiving holiday discount with our friends.
We received this game less than a week ago and have played it at least 5 times, with many more rounds to play over Thanksgiving. Definitely worth the wait and now is a favorite in the household. The metal coins were worth the extra money as well. They just add that much more to the game.
I think this is an absolutely amazing game, my family and I have played it at least 6 times the first week we got it! The game play is amazing, we did have to reexplain the gameplay to the new players they have a conquer mindset and not the objective mindset, but after about 2 games they get the groove. The component quality of the game is arguably one of the best we own, and we have a ton of board games! The storage, we like how the game has trays for the pieces, but the cards are hard to store, we had to get bags to keep the cards in so they didn’t scatter all over the box.
This game is fun and versatile, from quick matches to long plays you can adjust in the way you want to play. Our family felt it was a good mix of games like Catan, Risk and Castles of Burgundy just to name a few.
As a family of 5, the expansion was just what we were looking for as many games stick to the 4 player option. An added benefit is that with the amazing storage and organization it all fits into the original box which keeps things from getting lost.
We chose to get the upgrade to the metal coins and wooded dice, totally worth it, it adds to the quality and richness of the game. One critique would be the color on the wooden dice, Yellow for the attack is a little hard to see. We understand that color matches the rule book for simplicity, perhaps a darker wood could help with this.
Anyone that likes, replayability, tactics, building, and custom options will love this game. So gather friends and family around the table and try it out!
Just got this game and my daughter and I played it. Started with a basic setup but I can't wait to try random setups and using winter/desert environments. There are many different ways to score objectives and the ability to choose the number of objectives makes scaling the game up or down easy.
Love everything about this game, i really love the solider, and the great art style. Lot of fun with the family.
